Scholarship Holder Academic Report

Attention, Scholarship Holder

Submission of the Academic Report is mandatory for all scholarship holders (CAPES, CNPq, FAPESP, FINEP and institutional scholarships).

Failure to submit the report by the established deadline may result in the suspension or termination of the scholarship, subject to assessment by the Scholarship Committee.

General Information

All PPGEMN scholarship holders are required to submit an Annual Academic and Scientific Report outlining the progress and development of their academic and research activities during the reporting period.

  1. Prepare the report using the Programme's official template.
  2. Submit the report to your supervisor for review and obtain their signature on the Declaration of Acknowledgement and Consent.
  3. Save the completed report as a single PDF file.
  4. Submit the PDF via the online submission form.

Submission deadlines are fixed:

  • 20 February – scholarship holders who commenced their studies in the first semester.
  • 20 August – scholarship holders who commenced their studies in the second semester.

The Academic Report must be prepared strictly in accordance with the Programme's official template, following both its prescribed structure and formatting requirements.

The report must include the following sections:

  • Project Summary
  • Experimental Work
  • Detailed Results
  • Conclusions
  • Activity Development Timeline
  • References

The maximum length of five (5) pages applies only to the sections from Experimental Work through Activity Development Timeline. The cover page, Project Summary and References are not included in the page limit.

The official template formatting must be maintained in its entirety. No alterations to the layout, formatting or structure are permitted.

Following submission:

  • The supervisor must complete the Student Assessment Form.
  • The Scholarship Committee will review:
    • the Academic and Scientific Report;
    • the information provided by the scholarship holder; and
    • the supervisor's assessment.

Based on this review, the Committee will determine whether the scholarship will be continued.

The following aspects will be considered:

  • Progress of the research project
  • Academic output
  • Performance in coursework

Failure in a course or unsatisfactory academic performance may result in the suspension or termination of the scholarship, in accordance with the Programme's regulations and the requirements of the relevant funding bodies.

The criteria established by the Programme are intended to support the academic and scientific monitoring of scholarship holders and do not replace the requirements set out in the funding agencies' scholarship terms and conditions.

Compliance with all submission deadlines and procedures is the responsibility of the scholarship holder.
