I am a student from Mackenzie Presbyterian University. My exchange program happened in Portugal, at Coimbra University. At the beginning of an exchange program, I believe it is always more difficult to adapt to a new culture, a new rhythm and a new system. That wasn’t different for me, the system here is really different, the evaluation methods, the school calendar, … but I’m getting used to it.
I am living with people from many places, and it is teaching me how to deal with the differences, to overcome challenges, to seek my goals, to face the fear of new things and to persist and never give up.
Each place is a different experience, stories and knowledge that I’ll keep for the entire life.
I would tell the other students that are interested in studying abroad, that with much effort, dedication and will, it will be the best academic and personal experience of your lives.
